Twin Solex C40 DDH

Anyone had any experience running a twin Solex C40 DDH setup on a 1725? I think I can pick up a pair cheaply. I have heard they are as good as Webber DCOEs or Dellortos.

Those are way old school carbs, parts are practically unobtainable.
These are common takeoffs for 60s mercedes, those folks know enough to be done with them and to move on to DCOEs.

Solex sold out their license to mikuni in the 70s, and mikuni refined it (model called PHH).

Seriously consider the mikuni over any solex due to parts issues.
