Sunbeams in Led Zepp documentary

Am I the last one to discover they had Sunbeam Alpines in a Led Zeppelin documentary called Dazed and Confused? Saw this the other day on Roku. Check in around 7:50.


Apparently they used them as part of a British Invasion theme, but unclear from the video if related to Led Zeppelin's arrival or other British bands... Yardbirds, etc.

That's a publicity stunt by Eric Burdon and The Animals when they arrived in NYC on Thursday, Oct. 16, 1964. They were scheduled to to be on the Ed Sullivan Show that Saturday night, so they drove from JFK airport to their hotel in a bunch of Alpine series IV's and Tigers with a hired fashion model in each car, in order to create some stir about their upcoming appearance. Lots of press were alerted to this "British Invasion" so it became a bit of a spectacle. Weather was in the low 70's and sunny that day, so it made for a nice drive I'd imagine.
