high

he may be listing at that price only to see what kind of offers he gets. he wouldn't be the first. I know of a couple cars listed on e bay with a very high reserve for the sole purpose of seeing where bidding would go.

I'm sure the owner just slipped a decimal point. This was on Craigslist exactly a year ago, when I was vacationing nearby. Couldn't connect with the owner unfortunately. I think he was asking about $14k-$17k at the time.

He has it on SU's, that is why the price is where it is. Makes sense, the Strom's can be problematic.

Even at 10,000 would be too high a price with a semi or satin black paint job. How many cars in the land of pineapple aren't rusty and a more dangerous type of airborne salt air not just the rainfall.

Capri Cosmic wheels too? hard to tell with that grainy photo.

There has been a really nice one for sale in San Diego Craigslist for months

That car has been listed many times for at least a year and at several different prices and locations all at the same time. From the listing it looks to be a great car and I can't imagine it hasn't been at least looked at several times in all this time but still, no takers. Can't help but be suspicious.

Dude

He is having a senior moment, 10,000 is alot of pound euro's or dollars. I do not think he would quibble for the any of the dollars to the right of the comma.
The fact that he says it won a best of show only means he had a nice car at the event. Some mature types think they cannot learn a new trick and do a bad job at of posting and describing a car for sale. No hard top pic's
Smitty's work? no details. WTH does rebuilt mean , should be spelled out.
Rust free quote, ever see what a model T guy say's rust free means?
A picture tells a 1000 words, the same photo on a web hosting site in a large format tells a lot more.
A picture of a car on a lift with stock broom finish undercoating tells more than any claim of being rust free and a non factory rattle can undercoat.
How popular is white when compared to resale red on a sports car?
I think bet there are lots of reasons the car won't sell, just call him and ask his phone number is there. I sell on Craigslist all the time when priced right stuff moves if not its just like the name Polar White quiet as the North Pole.

True Warren.

This guys differing multiple listing senior moments seem to reoccur on a regular bases. You would think you would want to avoid having your car listed in different cities for different prices all on the same page lest you create suspicion and a lack of interested buyers.

Speaking of Senior moments

I got my glasses on and maybe he has changed some pics. My guess is it could sell for about 8,500 if it had a nice rust free hard top which is easily a 2000 plus item. The pics are different between the postings so give him credit for that. I mean what are we talking here if it has been repainted it is no longer a survivor. It's just not priced to move especially now that property taxes are due and the holidays are on the way, maybe that will motivate him.

Not the best ad for sure.. interesting he thinks the booster wasn't a stock item. As for the "best of show" it's a comparative statement.. there was a guy here who was selling his car here a few years back and was talking about how his car came 3rd in a local concourse... 3rd of 3 and many better cars hadn't entered.

As for the pictures.. some ads have additional photos.. interior isn't brilliant, no pictures of the soft top or hardtop. It does look like a decent car.. but really needs to be inspected by a potential purchaser.
