Steering wheel question

Hey. I've had some parts of the SV off for so long I don't remember how a couple things go back together. I restored my steering wheel, got a new horn ring, etc. But now when I put the wheel and horn ring on, the expander bolt (the threaded rod that slides in and out of the steering column) doesn't stick out far enough for me to attach the "steering wheel adjusting nut and motif" to it. The diagram in the workshop manual (page J11) shows something called the "expander bolt extension." Anybody know what it is and what it looks like? I don't seem to have anything like that in my box of parts. It looks like is should be some sort of internally threaded tube.

It is made of "white metal", I'd guess zinc. About 2 1/2"long and an inch or so in diameter. The smaller internal diameter is threaded. The large one is not.

I should have a spare, shout if you can't find yours and I'll mail it to you if I can find it. Seems I stumble over things for years, then when I need them, they suddenly sprout legs and disappear.
