Maybe someone else will have a better answer, but most of us know that Monroe shocks for a 68 Camaro, Monroe #5804, for the fronts will fit Alpines SIV-SV. (maybe earlier series too) . But I don't know about 5829.

I have a pair of Monroe 5829ST shocks in my garage. They came from a Series II. My SV uses different ones. Which fits a SIV?

Based on information I've obtained from this forum I recently purchased a set of Monroe 5815 ST shocks that I intend to use on a SV crossmember/suspension I intend to install on my SII. I'm not positive that they will fit on a SIV (or even a SV for that matter) but I do know they will not fit on a SII. The lower shock mounts are totally different on the SII.

My SV has Monroe 32067 (slightly modified). I think (but I'm not sure) that's also fits SIV.

I had to make a small modification to the 5815 as well - I had to cutoff the lower mounting tube extension flush with the mounting body to get it to fit in the SV lower shock mounting bracket.

I just finished a SV -> SII suspension swap. I don't think you have to change the cross-member, I didn't. I just readied and installed the A-arms, spindles and brakes from an SV. I did use the SII springs as they were about an inch shorter. You may have other reasons to include the cross-member, but you might not need to.

I'd like to hear about your results whatever route you go. I left the SII cross-member in place since I like the idea of it connecting to the body above the upper A-arm mounts.

it is a just a standard front end. the part number is australian so i do not
know if that makes a difference or you can use as cross reference.
