Hey, all:

I'm away from my reference books and wondered if someone out there could forward me the info I need. I need to know the front brake disc diameter and the rear drum diameter for a Series I Alpine. I'm filling out my tech declaration sheet for the vintage races next weekend and I must provide that info. My brakes are indeed Series I units so, please, if anyone can help, please post here.

Thanks much,

My haynes manual 'Sunbeam and Singer 1955 to 1965" gives the front discs as 9.5" and the drums as 9". I haven't cross checked this against other sources though.

I'm not sure thats right. The SI/Ii had smaller front discs than the later alpines, i am thinking 9", dont have a book on me now... will check tonight.

I didn't specify that the 9.5" listing was for the I and II. That book also lists the III and IV with 9.85" discs. But as I said, I did not cross check with other sources, and manuals are not always infallable ......
