will find you can use the MGC heater valve (cant remember if was early or late off the top of my head) but MOSS motors stock it.. just do a quick search and you will get the part #

Yes, and the one on eBay is a Smith's # FHW1306. If you check the Smiths Catalog sheet on my website...

...you'll find that this is Rootes part # 1235665, which is for a SV Alpine. This is exactly equal to BMC/MOWOG part # BHA4918, which also fits MGC's from #2604 in 1968 through all the 1969 models.

You can get a brand new one from LBCARCO for $64.26:
