Removed from a 1725cc Engine...

Hi,

It is definately not from a series Alpine or an Alpine fastback (Rapier). It looks like a tin rocker cover, so I think later sixties or early seventies Rootes. Most of the earlier Rootes rocker covers I have seen have all been the aluminium types.

Regards, Robin.

Definitely Iron head Rootes engine, and a relatively early one. The later engines has the screw down oil filler cap and a vent pipe at the end opposite the oil filler.

Cheers

Robert

Thanks. I didn't want it, but was curious since I'd never seen anything other than an aluminum one.
