I have pulled the half shafts so I could remove the Diff, and am ready to re install. Looking at the parts catalogue, there are 2 gaskets shown (Item 45) 1229702 "Joint (.006") - Grey" and 1229698 "Joint .010" Brown". I assume one goes between the brake backplate and the hub/flange of the diff with the other between the oil catcher and the other side of the back plate. But which goes where? I guess the thicker one at the backplate/Diff location
Also, since I did not need to remove the bearing, I did not undo the axle nut and remove the hub so could not install a gasket there without cutting it anyway. I do not have tools to pull the hub anyway.
Any comments, advice??
