I actually have been working on the project even thought it doesn't look like much progress.
I got the fuel tank mounting created and the rear frame section pretty much completed.
In the background you can see some of the new additions to my tool collection. The finger brake will be getting a workout pretty soon.

Sabertooth looks like your fab skills are impeccable
When you started talking about getting outside the box I had to laugh because I’ve owned my Tiger for 50 years now and I keep getting further and further outside the box! But always a street car on pump gas.
Years ago when my drag car broke and I was in a points chase I said what the hell its bracket class so I brought the Tiger out and it ran like 18 seconds but was pretty consistently!
Well to make it short, over the years I kept saying if only it could go this well now it has ran 9:20’s @148 on pump gas and street legal tires and stock rear wheel wells!235-60-15 ET streets.
Now haters are going hate but I’m doing it anyways because my goal is getting into the 8’s and doing it with a LS motor because a Mod motor or coyote motor won’t fit and I couldn’t pass this deal up on the LS motor it has some really good parts and should handle the 300 shot of NOS without blowing up!
Here is a couple of pictures to show the fenders are not flared and it’s not tubbed.
Has a old 83/4 Chrysler rear end with a PG trans
Looking forward to seeing your progress

The LS motor came from a friend of mine that was going to put it in a Alpine.
Then he found out it was more than what he wanted to do.
So I got a great deal on everything, but instead of putting it in the Alpine I put the LS in the Tiger.
My wife put a stop to the LS project till I finished and sold the Alger!
The Alger is now up for sale but with what is happening in world it might be a little time before the Alger sells
But will keep you updated on the LS project
