plating on hood and trunk latches

On a Series 3, was the hood latch that sits in the tray on the cowl silver cad plated when new? I have the same question about the trunk latch.

Hi Kim, as far as I know they were. Of course I've seen everything from chrome plate to painted , but I do belive they were anodized from the factory.
