Panhard rod bushings

I can't find anything on either forum about replacing panhard rod bushings. My shop manual also neglects this area. Has anyone ever done it?

Thanks,

Russ

Should be fairly simple. On the body side there's a nut and stud on the end of the rod, remove the nut and outer bushing. Then remove the bolt from the axle end and withdraw the rod. To replace put one bushing on the body end of the rod and place into the body bracket. Replace the other body end bushing and replace the washer and nut, do not tighten down yet. Put a bushing on the bolt and place through the axle bracket. Put the other bushing on the bolt and insert into the end of the rod. With the weight on the suspension now tighten down the bolt and nut, but do not crush them.
And you're done.

Thanks Mike. Sounds very simple. If it goes like the rest of this restoration, it will probably take me about two weeks (bent rod, stripped threads wrong bushings, etc.)

Thanks a lot,

Russ
