You have to be careful.... a car in this condition might bring more money left totally alone. There has been a tremendous market swing to unrestored survivors. Does that apply to Alpines? I am not sure, however, you really have to be aware of the trend and what that might imply regarding refurbishment and preperation to get the car driving again.

With that said, it seems to be a very nice car. The U.S. is having a "half price" sale in Europe so perhaps someone on that side of the pond can take advantage :)

He makes it sound like all it needs is a fuel tank cleansing and a tuneup. COME ON! We all know that every bit of rubber, from those 40+ year-old tires to every seal and hose and belt have fossilized. Not to mention the brakes probably being frozen.

But all that aside, I'd buy it if I could. (But with the understanding that it'd take more than just a tuneup to make it driveable.) She's got lots of potential. LOVE THOSE FINS!

I totally agree on the fossilized comment.

Any way you would be a mug to restore that; far better to start with a rust free Cali core for a fraction of the cost of this one.

It would be a crass act to ruin a 'true survivor'.

Assuming it is unmolested time warp, it's originality would make it worth the money to me. If it was in the UK it would be in my garage by now:cool:
