Oil leak dilemma

Hey, all...it's me again...

I have another problem that I'm working to rectify on my vintage racing Series I. I have a fairly severe oil leak coming from the area of the front of the engine block. It appears to be coming from there and not the front crank seal (I performed the Chevy crank seal fix and that appears to be working perfectly). I've checked all other possible sources for a leak and it is either the gasket between the block and the engine truss mount or the gasket between the timing cover and the engine truss mount. Either way, it's got to come back apart in order for me to fix it.

Is there a proper way or technique to use to get this all to seal properly? I can stand a drop of oil here and there, but finding an eight inch circle of oil underneath the timing cover a few hours after I shut it down is just too much. Anybody got any ideas or guidance???

Thanks again,
