I am new to Sunbeams, and am looking at the white Tiger on Ebay. The serial number plaque calls this car an Alpine with a 260 V8. Is this a legitimate Tiger? There is a JAL 560320 listed, what does this mean? Does anyone know anything about this car? Can you see any rust on the frame from the photos? Thanks for your help. It is difficult to bid on a car that you cannot inspect and drive.

A JAL tag is the body number for a Sunbeam Tiger "jensen alpine" the chassis number will be either b94.. or B38... depnding on MKI or MKIA.

If you are serious about buying the car contact Norman miller to see if the car is registered as a authenticated Tiger with TAC or the car is known to the Tiger community.

There were "Sunbeam Alpine 260's" which were european spec Tigers.
