Insulation

I found a thread about using Fatmat/Dynamat on the interior. Seems like a good product, but that doesn't eliminate the need for some kind of padding under the carpet, right? If that's true, does anyone have recommendations on what to use? Some neoprene foam available from the Foam Factory (http://www.foambymail.com/NE.html) looks promising, but it might soak up moisture.

The neoprene I'm familiar with is closed-cell, and won't absorb liquids. (think wetsuits) I've used it in door panels, but not floors.

Can you get a sample to test?

I have a sample. But since I posted the question, I've been told that because the carpet kits have jute backing, no other insulation is required. So I guess if I just scrunch down some Fatmat, I'm in business.

Thanks.
