Ignition switch?

I’m having a weird ignition problem. Car used to start just fine. Then all I got was a click. Checked the battery, all good. Inspected the solenoid and found it to not have a good connection to the fire wall. Tightened that and all was good. Today I got the old click again and found the cable on the starter to be loose. I tighten that and the positive cable going to the starter from the solenoid. The car started perfectly with plenty of juice. However, it wouldn’t turn off! I inadvertently made a connection between the cable at the solenoid and a white with green stripe. I separated those two touching wires and now I’m back to a click. Grrr.. Any ideas?

Corrosion in your cable from the solenoid to starter cable?
