Handbrake lever

I have had a number of folks ask me about the grey/gray handbrake lever shown on the interior pictures posted on my Alpine web site.

Through the different series of Alpines the handbrake levers have changed spec quite a few times...

The grey/gray ones with a nylon knob were introduced on the series III and continued through to chassis number 9410000 on the series 1V.

Have you matched the gray color to anything? It looks like the soft top frame gray. I have matched that soft top color.

Looks like plain old Hammerite silver to me. But my V handbrake is all black (original), so I've not seen the SIII/IV in person.

Jan, the paint on the hand brake is the original factory finish.
I think the reason for it having no chips or scratches is that as my car is an auto the hand brake has not been used much in the past ...I never use it.
To clean the hand brake I used paint restorer and then just waxed it.
As for the color i don't know if is the same as the soft top frame...as i don't have a soft top !
