gear lever - nylon ball/bush

Bronze Level Sponsor
The nylon ball/bush at the base of my gear lever is worn.
In addition, the pin is not a tight fit in the lever/ball and tends to vibrate its way out, disrupting gear changes... (I've rigged up a small plate to stop it from completely falling out...)

Are replacement balls available? I can't find them listed at the usual Sunbeam suppliers.

Or am I looking for a second hand lever?

thanks,
Dave

Dave get a second hand one. The ones from other rootes audux cars fit ..Hillman minx, sceptre, gazelle..

They don't lean back as far as the Alpine ones, more upright, you could heat and bend.. I found one selected one from a husky that was more upright and cranked at about 20° falls straight to hand close to the wheel, I much prefer it to the stock one
