Can the control arms from a series V bolt directly to a series I?

Are there any differences between the two other then king pins and ball joints?

There is no lower ball joint on the SI-SIII, there is a trunnion instead. The upper ball joints are also different between SI-SIII and the later series upper arms.

I have heard of folks switching out the upper and lower control arms, along with the stub axle from the early solid bushed suspension to the later cars. This is done to radically increase the stiffness of the suspension likely for racing. Havent heard of going the other way round though.
