I had looked at that too... it says it mounts of th engine mounts.. but to what? the factory racing braces mounted from the head to the firewall using a angle and an exhuast mount to help with throttle reposnse by not letting the motor twist as much with torque... this is suposed to stabilise the motor to stop vibration at idle?

this was used on the fastbacks and probably on any of the hunter range with the motor at an angle. it's actually a small shock absorber. the flat bracket slips down over the bolts on the left motor mount with the shock at the rear. the aluminum mount that bolts to the left side of the motor sets on top of it and is held down by two nuts. the bottom of the shock sets in a U shaped bracket welded to the cross member with a bolt thru it just like a regular shock. it keeps the slanted motor from ripping the mount loose and setting up straight.
