The socket and all of the other parts are available from VB. They also sell the complete unit for 24.95.

Series 3, so yes single bulb socket. Thanks, I didn't realize VB had them. A bulb socket is probably one of those things that would be fine from them.

A lot of the stuff coming out of China these days is fairly decent quality (many exceptions I'm sure). This light socket from VB is the type of stuff we were used to seeing 20 - 25 years ago. Total crap! You can't push a light bulb into it, let alone twist lock it into place. The stamping form is so crude - unbelievable! I'll see if I can get anywhere with customer service, but based on previous comments, I don't have high hopes.

It looks like Sunbeam Specialties includes the socket in the EL34 lamp assembly.

FWIW, while I don't have much faith in most of VB's products, I have had good experiences with their customer service department. It has probably been more than 5 years since I needed them, but my experience at the time was that they didn't know a crankshaft from a lug nut, but seemed to be empowered to do what is right to satisfy their customers.

If Austin Mini = Classic Mini (in Moss Motor's eyes,) here's a possibility:
http://www.mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=69145

Internal artwork doesn't look the same, though.

AH 100: http://www.mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=28937

Spridget looks more promising: http://www.mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=29350

Morris Minor, Lucas 488: http://www.mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=120523

The last two look more like the artwork in the post above, but there's not enough detail to tell for sure. (I'm talking socket, not necessarily entire assembly.)

Wonder what it takes to get Sunbeam adopted by Moss Motors? Miata's already in, so it's not all BL.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions guys. VB customer service was actually very helpful. They are sending out another socket, and said keep the first one. I have a tube expander at work, so I'm sure I can bump it open a bit to make it work. I just didn't think I should have to do that on a new purchased part.
