My series V lug / jack wrench looks identical to the painted one on the right. Most of the ones I see are like the unpainted one on the left. I have wondered if my wrench is even stock. Anyone know if the one on the right is stock for some Alpines?

Thanks,
Mike

The one on the right is exactly the same as the one that came in my MK2. The one on the left is what I would say is a reasonable facsimile and may or may not be a Sunbeam brace.
I put the MK2 one there as a truth and advertising moment...

Oh by the way some say Pennant and some do not.
I suppose it's completely within the realm of possibility that they changed vendors throughout the production process.

Mike:
I have seen braces like yours that are stamped "King Dick" but can't vouch for them being correct for Alpine or not.

I am interested in the black lug wrench

Sorry that black wrench is the one I'll never use on my MK1 only pictured for comparative truth in advertising.

Just in case anybody is wondering the MK2 that I have came with a tool kit complete nearly. I have the spark plug wrench the Tommy bar and that lug wrench, I mean wheel brace that's marked pennant in the casting, I don't remember right now if I have one n too many. I'm missing the Schrader valve remover the big wrench that is for the oil cooler top nut as mentioned in another thread discussing the finish. The Lucas 016 points adjusting tool also known as the ear wax remover :) I'm willing to trade for any of the above items anything that I've got laying around.
I do have this Alpine battery hold down cage that I will never use I've got it under the desk collecting dust. I hope somebody offers me something for it before I get tired of looking at it....

Warren there were two seals for the hard tops the one offered by SS is the late one I would like to find an early one. This is the seal that fits the bottom of the hard top.

There seems to be two sets one is very wide and @#$$# to fit and the other is not . Is this what you're talking about Gordon?
