Door operation

My series III driver's inside door handle will open not open the door anymore-only from the outside handle. The long bar has a lot of play at the pivot where the lever engages the part that moves from the outside handle.
Is there a way to adjust or tighten the rivot so it hits the slider?
Also, I thought that when you pushed towards the front it locked the doors (still does), but now you cannot unlock from the inside.

I have had the same issue w/ my series II recently. At first I thought the odd shaped clip which hold the moving parts in place[at the b-post]had given way.
As it turns out it is a problem w/ rust and grime preventing the moving parts from sliding as they should. A little trouble but the parts need to be removed, cleaned and replaced or replaced w/ one that works. If you can see the lever from the inside door handle bend rather than move toward the b-post
that is likely your problem, or one of them

it is hard to explain-everything moves fine-the bar is tied with the metal straps and does not bend. When you push in the door button, it pushes down a lever. The long bar should push the same lever when pulled, but it does not rest on it anymore-so does not engage. I can hold it at the rivot and it works, but there seems to be too much play in the rivot (pivot point)
