Parts List

Getting close. Can I order it as a group :D or do I need to order each component individually  ? Also, what about that bracket you make for the clutch slave? That needs to be on the list too as I couldn't have converted mine without it... (Thanks Again!)

Jose will have to tell how the orders work other than the clutch bracket.... you know I forgot about those... got two brain cells left and they are fighting.... thnaks for the nice words on the bracket. I have one made up right now if anyone wants/needs one. Actually they are not a lot of fun to make but if there is demand I will make a run.

Hi Nick,

When you are ready to order your kit, you can order everything, or even piece by piece, but I suggest getting the basic kit as a unit, because otherwise the individual parts will cost you more.

I sugest anyone wanting to build one of these cars order the whole Mary Ann! The stuff is soooo nice and the price is right! I actually would like to have a kit on the shelf just cause I am affraid one day we will not be able to get them.

Hi Jeff,

The external pull slave works a different part of the clutch system. The pilot bearing adapter is to adapt the shorter, earlier, T5 input shafts to the deeper Mustang II bellhousing. The adapter brings the pilot bearing out to where the shorter input shafts get supported. The later T5's, from a 1996 and later Mustang with the 3.8 V6, don't have this problem, because they are .75" longer, and can reach to the stock pilot bearing location in the end of the 2.8 crank. The pull slave will replace the stock cable that used to pull the clutch bell crank, to release the clutch.

Jose:)

Anyone considering doing a conversion...

I agree....Order the kit. My car had been converted without the kit. I urge anyone considering a conversion to do it the kit way. Don't get me wrong, I love my car but the way it's set up I had to adjust the engine forward and back (Millimeters! ) until the exhausts didn't interfere with the steering after I did the T5 swap..... The engine sets too high so I couldn't use the Offenhauser manifold I found and I have a 390 Holley sitting in a box.:(

Just order the kit... :D

I agree with Nick. I just used one of Joses kits to install the engine and transmission in my car and it went very well and looks like it belongs. Now, if I can just teach myself to weld!!

Pilot Bearing Adaptor Bolts

As Sensei Jose stated, the Pilot Bearing Adaptor moves the bearing out so while you have the whole thing apart, take one of the flywheel bolts and find a Nut and Bolt shop and get them ordered. I looked all over Phoenix when I was putting mine together and they needed to be ordered and (as I recall) the nice folks cut them down to my measurements and cleaned them up for me. I think I had to order 25 to make the minimum order. I ended up selling the 3 additional sets to members here on the site as others had the same problem locating the right thread pitch, diameter etc.

Then you better put away a spare V6 and some MUTTII flys.. could start the v6 factory..

An appology

:D

I'm sorry if I gave the wrong idea to the members of this group. What I should have said is that I couldn't use this manifold and carb on my current car because of the Non Jose sourced install. I was trying to support what had been recommended before. Again, I'm sorry. I am planning a second car where I will do it by the book.

Thinking your shaft is fine provided it is a 3.8 trans of any type... the above is the list I have for the T5 units, which is not as new as the piece you have.

Hi Earl,

If your transmission is from a 1994 Mustang with the 3.8 V6, you are alright. In 1994, Ford lengthened the new Mustang chasis, and corrected the extra length with a deeper bellhousing and a longer input shaft. The reason I recommend the 1996 and later, is because Ford did something to correct a flaw the 1994-95 transmissions had. I can't remember what it was, (I'm getting old), but if you have an earlier iteration of this transmission, I doubt you'll have any trouble with it.

If your transmission is an earlier than 1994, you will still be alright, because you just need to use the pilot bearing adapter for the four cylinder transmission.

Jose :)
