carb fuel "T"

Has anyone found an alternative to the plastic "T" or a way to keep the plastic "T" from leaking by maybe hose clamps and sealant? When it leaks it seems really dangerous (on the exhaust). Thanks Bob

I went to the local hardware store and bought a compression Tee fitting. It fits perfectly between the carbs. Then I brought a short piece of steel tubing out, and bent it an the valve cover to use the valve cover stud to hold a clamp. Then bent around the head to end over the top of the fuel pump.

I also used stell tubing with compression fittings. The PO had install El in the carbs but they were not tighten down. After tighten, they pointed to toward the rocker cover, perfect for new, cleaner lines. My car has an electric fuel pump back at the tank, so the line comes from a pressure regulator down about the the fuel pump would go.

When was the plastic T used on the fuel lines. I have two Series II`s and a Series 3 and they all have brass T fittings on all metals lines.

Different carbs here guys.

I believe the original issue was with the stromberg CD150/SV plastic "T"s that are often not available, or just plain dont work.

The earlier zeniths have off the shelf solutions as can be seen above.

Yes, sorry the carbs are zenith 150's. The compression "T" does look like it could be a solution. Great picture and feedback. Thanks Bob
