Digging through some more archives I found a couple of results from Florida events listing George Lacy. Note, Ed Wilson owned Coventry motors in W. Perrine, FL. Ed drove the 61' Sebring car with Vince Tamburo.
Kissemee, FL Jan 21-22, 1961
- Ed Wilson 2nd in the First race of the weekend.
- Ed Wilson 1st in the Fifth race of the weekend.
- George Lacy 3rd in the Fifth race of the weekend.
Miami, FL listed in Competition Press April 29, 1961
(so the event was probably around mid-April)
-George Lacy 1st in the Second race of the weekend
-Ed Wilson 2nd in the Second race of the weekend
Regarding the Jan 21st race... I bet George hadn't had the Alpine more than a month or two. I can't remember when production started on Series II's but figure 6 weeks transit time.
