Anti-rattle springs

I bought a Series II off the show room floor in 1961 and it had anti-rattle springs that pushed against the brake pads to prevent them from rattling in the calipers. They were "H" shaped and slid in under the top and bottom retainer pins. My current Series II doesn't have them, nor does my Series II parts car. I've poked around looking for a set to no avail. Does anyone have a solution or does everyone just ignore it?

The modern solution is to buy a bottle of "Brake Quiet" at your local auto parts store. You apply this as a thick liquid to the back of your brake pads and it glues them to your pistons. The stuff dries to the consistancy similar to permatex form-a-gasket, and peels off with your fingers when it's time to change pads.
I hope this helps!

Bingo! Moss does have them, but they are listed for Mini, TR7/8, and Sprite. I did a search on "springs" and got scores of listings. The anti-rattle springs were among them. Thanks for the tip. I'll order them on Monday.

We share the same caliper as late TR3B's and early TR4's, both of which Moss supports.
