An interesting approach for a Husky

You know, I once had a part time business of painting and wallpapering. And whenever I was working on a job and following a carpenter, I'd joke to them (mind you, it's ONLY a joke) that there was a saying painters had, "Putty and paint, make a carpenter what he ain't" ;)

I guess with anything that has to do with auto restoration, all it takes is imagination, money (cah-ching:eek:) and a torch, sawsall, BIGGGGGGGGGGGG hammer, bandaids, beer:eek:, understanding spouse/significant other;), and walaaaa. You have it.

And I had several guys tell me that the Ford V6 wouldn't fit!!

Jose

Jose,

That engine is a mile high and forward compared to the way your kit mounts the engine. The front suspension has been changed out. The body has been cut up as well.

If the 2.8 engine has at least four inches between the pan front and the rear of the crossmember as mounted in the Alpine, then it would possibly fit. Will your headers clear the crossmember if the engine were that far forwards over the crossmember?

I always like those ads that say "most of the hard stuff has already been done" : The unstated truth being, "'that only leaves the imposssible, and the really, really expensive" :)
