Alpine & Tiger VIN Plate Reproductions

I have recently started reproducing exact copies of the late Series Alpines & Tiger VIN tags or plates. I have not drilled the rivet holes so that you can match the factory holes originally drilled into your cowl. They are coated with a high quality laquer for long life. I have attached a picture below. I'm going to list them on ebay for $35 but will sell one to any SAOCA member at a 20% discount. If you would like one let me know at guestiesgarage@gmail.com

Interesting. Years ago I produced the correct image with the correct typeface to make these.

Does anyone know what metal stamps are most like the original stamping fonts?

There is an owner in Georgia that has the equipment to do the reverse stamping for the later plates. He also can stamp the early plates. The font is correct for both. He also does many other marques including Tigers. There is criteria you have to meet before he'll do the work. I've given the info to several on this forum.

Bob Weidemeyer has the correct fonts for both the early stampings and the embossed type in later cars. you can reach Bob at 912-222-5771.

I'm looking for an early Series 2/3 large plate. Is anyone reproducing them?

Years ago I made a printable copy of the text for the later VIN plates. I made it as a reverse image so that it could be transfer printed.
