5 Speed transmission for V6

I have an opportunity to buy a late model Mustang transmission for $300.
It is not a T5, it is a TR-3650
Would it work with the Ford 2.8 & Jose's Kit mounting bracket?
Thanks,
Ed

From what I've been able to find out the TR-3650 is what replaced the T-45 on the 4.6 V8 Mustangs. I believe the bell housing on the 3650 is an integral part of the trnasmission, so it could not mount on a Mustang II bellhousing.
Here's a link that describes it. The attached photo shows the bolt pattern inside the bell housing.

Hi Ed,

Any transmission from a Mustang V8 that is 1994 or later, will not work, because the bellhousing is part of the transmission, and the bellhousing will not fit the V6. Any pre 1994 T5 will fit, but I recommend the 1996 and later T5 from behind the 3.8 V6 Mustang. They can be purchased for a reasonable price and will have less mileage and abuse than the earlier V8 T5's.

Jose :)
