2009 Cars of the Rootes Group Calendar

It’s ready already

This is my annual labour of love for Rootes owners around the world. A 12 month, A4 size, full colour, spiral bound calendar featuring Sunbeams, Hillmans, Humbers (and this year a Commer). It's printed on quality paper in the USA.

You can preview the images used in this year’s calendar at the following page (these are low resolution images for quick loading, the calendar pics are much better quality)

http://s122.photobucket.com/albums/o262/sunalp63/Calendar2009/

As in the past it is being printed by Lulu publishing – print on demand, buy one copy or many. The cost is US$11.30 plus postage to wherever you live. As in the past this is not for profit, I don’t get a cent, just the satisfaction of knowing I’ve made a hundred or so people around the world happier.

There are several versions this year, with different holidays for different countries. The links to buy them are:

For Australians http://www.lulu.com/content/3989210

For the USA http://www.lulu.com/content/4340821

For the UK http://www.lulu.com/content/4341115

For Canada http://www.lulu.com/content/4341236

And a special thanks to Bill Tubbs and John Prittie for their pics

Cheers and enjoy

Hi Vic,

Great job and great calendar. It is great to see all the Aussie Rootes cars. I like the piucture of the Rapier with Uluru in the background (did you get permission from the local tribesmen ;))

Regards, Robin.

Thank you gentlemen, as always it was a pleasure to do it and I owe the fine photos to Rootes fans all around the world.

Robin, the Rapier at Uluru was provided by one of your fellow Victorians, Matt Lambert. I got his permission to use it, although I suspect he is not one of the traditional owners :)

Cheers, Vic

Hey Vic. Purchased a few calendars which arrived yesterday. Very nice job. Proud to display it in my office, however, it might have to be September all year :))
Thanks again for the nice job. Next year how about the freshly restored Harrington Le Mans?

John.

OK I just might have to get another.

Thanks for a great job. Where can I send a photo of my Series ll for next year?

Once again, thanks........

I'm always on the lookout for pics for next years calendar, so, John and Chuck, yes I'd love to see some shots of your cars.

As always, pics need to be good resolution to ensure good print quality (the ones I get that work are usually at least 750 Kb in size - bigger than that is fine). Send them to me at the address on the front of the calendar which is:

rhughes@actewagl.net.au

And Alan, I still have a beautiful pic of your Rapier that you sent 2 years ago which I hope to use in next years edition.

Cheers, Vic

Hey Vic,
You used the Rapier shot in last year's calendar if I'm not mistaken. The one in the snow I seem to recall.
Did I send you another picture as well? Maybe the one with the ocean in the background...it's all coming back to me now. :)
Thanks again,
