Some interesting stuff there! Check out the engine they installed the roller rockers on (zoom in on the picture) - not your typical advertising display!

Too funny! Also, look closely at the 4bbl intake. Three bolts holding down the upper part and I wonder if the edge of the flange for the carb will foul the valve cover.

I'm a little curious to know which model of intake manifold was used for that conversion. If I tried that with my 83 Bronco intake, I'd be into the exhaust gas crossover/EGR chamber below the carb plenum. Perhaps it's a 75 Mustang manifold?

Guys, intake is Ranger/Bronco II or 79 and up Fox Mustang/Capri for 2150 2 barrel. Probably welded up part of EGR passage. Don't know why he didn't use 4 bolts. I'd like to see mod to use top thermostat like the 2.9. Bar mount stud roller rockers and oiling through pushrods is a good idea. Getting popular with Buick/Rover V8's. Probably, pic is of prototype. What I would do is 1.6 Chevy Vortec (narrow body) rockers. Not 1.8, plus his prices are way high for what you can do yourself. Mike's mod to 2150 intake:

Why couldn't the 2.8 use a top mounted thermostat.

I think you can, if the opening is milled out round. More convenient than the lower one. The Buick V8 Stroker Chris did, we plugged the rocker shaft feed holes, used 350 Buick lifters and reversed the oil flow using hollow pushrods. I think using 289/302 solid lifters and custom pushrods you can do the same with the 2.8. You have to have a metering hole in top of the lifter to feed oil to the rockers. You could probably even have Delta regrind your cam for Hydraulic lifters. I think 270 duration and about 470 lift on 110 lobe center would make a nice performance cam. The DIY 4 barrel conversion intake or Mike's 2 barrel mod with 350 Holley would be perfect. Offenhauser prices are way too high for me.

2.8 thermostat

Mike You can use a top mount thermostat off a Areostar You will need to make an adapter spacer out of 1/2 aluminium plate I did and I welded a filler neck to the top for high point fill
