Don't know anything about the car and the photos are not that revealing, but looking at the engine bay and trunk, the car appears to be pretty much rust free. As far as I am concerned, that is the most important aspect of these cars. Rust can be very difficult to repair.

If you are interested in the car, try to get the seller to show post more detailed photos of the drivers side footwell (looks a little rusty, may be just surface rust), trunk and engine bay. These are not the most rust prone areas of Alpines, but a little rust in these areas are often accompanied with disasters under the car.

There are several member in South Carolina, one of them might look at the car for you. Couldn't hurt to make a general plea for help.
