1962 Series II - Oil Rings

I know that the bottom - Oil Rings are a 3-piece ring....
I know that I should be offsetting the top & the bottom oil ring gaps
The rings I have received, though, seem to have the top & bottom oil rings are melded together.
As in, they do not separate.
In other words; if they are designed to live together, thus I cannot offset their gap….right?
I've just not seen this before; so wanted to share....IMG_2324.jpg

Matt,

A pic of the inside of the ring's back at same location as the first pic might help. It appears your ring is constructed to be a "single piece" ring for installation simplification.

I've never seen one like it.

Have a good day,

So that ring is fine. Orient the gap above the skirt, not above the pin. Not sure if it matters whether you are above the thrust side or the other one, but stagger the second compression ring gap opposite the oil ring gap, and the top compression ring gap opposite that. (That is what I would do, anyway)
