    Ignition switch wiring

OK. As my re-wiring saga continues, I decided when ordering new panel switches I'd also replace the aftermarket ignition switch the PO had installed. All good, nice new ignition switch and tumbler with keys. :) However, there are no numbers on the posts. Hummm. It's probably something...

    Switch mounting in wooden dash??

I'm in the process of rewiring my SIV. I purchased all new switches for the blower, wipers, lights and panel from Classic Sunbeam . I have an after market wooden dash, i.e., my brother custom made the dash using a blank loaned to me as the pattern. He used a solid piece of oak in cutting out...

OK, I'll be the dummy and ask......

Not being any sort of an expert on Harringtons, I have to ask. How else will a Darksider ever learn? :o So I run across this 1961 Sunbeam Alpine Lemans Coupe this morning on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1961-Sunbeam-/152648005684?hash=item238a87b834:g:yqgAAOSwxBdZgkAc&vxp=mtr...

    Another...Alpine in the Alpines

In checking out first post I searched the site author referenced and saw this; http://www.ksl.com/auto/photo?ssid=3671250&rnid=1#1 I can't see the rockers that well, but from what I can see they look pretty good. Floorboards you can't tell from pictures. Anyone close to this Alpine...

    Cracked heads

OK. I've heard for years about 2.8's and their susceptibility to cracked heads. I purchased a complete engine years ago that I have in storage and was wondering just how difficult it is to determine if I have any cracks in the one I have. Can it only be done by a machine shop? Thanks, Dennis

    Renewal/Donations

I guess this is mainly for Greggers. My reminders indicate I need to renew my membership/donation and I looked back and saw a post in July indicating a better method of accomplishing this on a new site was being explored. Is this true ? I may be missing something, but I like to keep my...

    And just what is salvagable

At first glance, and price, I perked up. :) But just doing the "zoom" feature I only saw that "maybe", just maybe the doors, trunk lid, hood and bumper laying inside the cockpit might be usable. I mean, even a cross member under the drive side floorboard is rusted out, in a big way...
