Hi Jeb,

They are very reliable and you don't need to worry about a linkage cable breaking, but when they wear out a bit they can give you problems. Had a problem on my series IV with the linkage feeling really clunky. I am wanting to change the setup with the rod going to the carby in the engine bay away from the rubber grommet to either a bush or bearing to help smooth things out as well.
