Windscreen washer pump

Has anyone attempted to disassemble and refurbish the windscreen washer pump. Mine will pump a little dribble but is very slow to rebound and doesn’t draw much fluid in on the out stroke.

A comon mod is to take apart.. Remove the guts of the pump and fit a momentary switch at the base that the knobs plunger will activate...fit an electric washer pump motor either hidden or a generic in 1 bottle+ pump if not worried about stock and convert to electric.

Dash will look stock and you get a much more efficent system.

This car has the manual pump converted using a momentary switch inside the pump housing. The pump is the round knob. We also used a washer bag with an electric pump as part of the bag.
