I need a wheel cylinder rebuild kit for my SV. It’s there a standard size or domestic alternative to ordering from one of our traditional suppliers?

Have you tried Sunbeam Specialists or Classic SunbeamS ? Do they not have the kits available?

Have you tried a "new" cylinder for your SV ?

Both those supplier do indeed have kits. I highly doubt, especially given the state of our local
parts stores, that clerks there would have any idea what you were asking about.

These guys will surprise you from time to time. If your cylinder bore is shot a replacement is the best way to go. Napa also has wheel cylinder cups if you think that's all that needs replaced. Bear in mind, you can save some money but a lot of the time it's an educated guess whether they will fit and function, and none of the suppliers mentioned here support the hobby like the marque-specific vendors do.

Go to your parts store and ask for a set of breaker points from the teenager behind the counter. The glasses died stare is priceless!
