Working on the Ford V6. Several questions; Is there a small starter motor available? With the built in solenoid, "super starter" for the V6? need room on my build and special mounts. Measuring for, "pilot bearing/bushing adapter" , measure length of input shaft from front of transmission or? Also the diameter of the end of shaft? Who has the correct pilot bearing adapter? Where can I obtain the adapter? Transmission is the Ford Mustang T5, World series, 1992, wide ratio, 3.35? first gear. Front transmission bearing retainer. Machine the OD to fit into the bell housing. What front bearing retainer to buy? Any other modifications to front transmission bearing retainer? Cut the end off/shorten length?
Car came with the four speed T4 or RAD transmission, not out of a Capri, but from Pinto or Mustang 2. The T5 shifter is 4 inches more rearward than the T4. Never read about shifter location between the two yet. Thank you for the information, Steve V. Cologne V6 in Arizona
