There is a lot of unusal on that Alpine! 54 Chevy taillights. MGB front turn/park lights.

The engine looks like a Chevy 153 4-banger (think 1960's base model Chevy II), most likely with a Powerglide automatic.

A whopping 90 HP @ 4K RPM (on a very good day) and a 2-speed automatic should make for a real barn burner.

Agree with Barry, should make for a real barn burner.....

Definitely '54 Chevy tail lights. Thought of that myself, just could not find a nice set

Then you have the MG T series style double hump dash .... The attempt at a squared off racing style wheel ( don't tell them the sqauared off part is usually at the bottom.... ) There is the very strange shaped glovebox door....
What can we say... They did it the way they liked .. now they must find a buyer who thinks likewise....

I think the motor is the 2.5 Iron Duke. Not a bad motor if hopped up.

Can't forget Smokey Yunick's Hot-Vapor version of the Iron Duke.

I’m more intrigued by what - and why - he did what he did to the grille opening.

I should have entitled this “count the changes!”

Years ago, I was corresponding with a retiree in NM. He had installed a GM 2.5 in his Alpine. Most noteworthy was the bite he took out of the corssmember. About 6" wide and 8" long. Full depth. Very subtle. That was a good reflection on how he addressed the entire build. Sure was one of a kind.
