I have attached a few pictures of the rubber & metal seal which surrounds my Bonnet ( '68 SV ) and I want to replace but I cannot find it anywahre. SS has a seal with a different profile and much smaller and no metal insert.
Does anybody know where I can find this type of seal ? Is it a standard seal from Amazon ?

Thanks
Michael

From your description it sounds like someone installed a pinch seam seal around your engine bay.. like a generic door seal... It should be a thing U shaped rubber and it only goes around the top of the engine bay scuttle area and had some metal clips on the ends to hold in place.

You are quite correct I forgot pictures but here they are ..... 20260126_160207.jpg20260126_160139.jpg20260126_171956.jpg20260126_172003.jpg

Totally not a stock part, and as stated the original seal was a simple U shale rubber just around the scuttle area extending slightly forward.

I'm including a close-up of the clips and a shot with the extend of the factory rubber. This is a Tiger but the Alpine used the same seal and length and clips from series I-V as did Tiger.
