Tiger years

I came across an ad for a 1963 Tiger?
The information on the internet states that the first year for the Sunbeam Tiger was 1964.

Well, given they announced the new Tiger model on April 18, 1964 at the NY Auto Show, I can't imagine that many made it showrooms much before that. Shelby had completed the prototype one year earlier in April 1963, and that car was shipped to Lord Rootes for approval in the summer of '63. With his virtually immediate approval, Jensen was given the job of making them, and they managed to build 14 prototype production models for certification and approval right at the end of 1963, but actual factory sales production didn't take place until early 1964. So... unless that Tiger is one of the original 14 prototypes, it's in error.

It probably is an Alpine series 3 body from 1963. I think you can group the headline as "63 Sunbeam" + "Tiger Project".

It has the series 3 front indicator light setup.

And the series 3 rear fins.

The series II has the same setup on these points as series 3, but the photos do show a later series hardtop fitted, so it seems likely it is a series 3.

Agreed you can reach Paul @ 916-530-0438 (phone number from the listing) no relation to seller.
Even if you part out the top and engine it will be a gain.
