Tiger rear axle needed

Hi, folks. I was called today by a friend who works at a local LBC restoration business. They are looking for a stock Tiger rear axle to replace a customer’s trashed one. Anybody got one they want to sell?

Curious, I exchanged emails with restorer in Perkasie who claimed they were in need of a complete axle housing, as well as a half shaft. I told them I have 2 Tiger axle shafts, but they showed no interest until they locate a bare housing first. I mentioned I also have a complete stock hub-to-hub Tig rear, too. No interest.

It's likely to be the same restoration shop and, if so, I say "good luck to them in finding a bare housing".

Thanks Kevin.

Yeah, Mark, it was. I just spoke with them. They’re gonna give you another call. They didn’t realize you had the full axle, they just thought you had two axles. Simple misunderstanding. Say hi to Melody for me.

Hey Kevin.

I've since gotten a follow-up email from Melody asking about the complete rear and will respond to her sometime tomorrow.

Many thanks for your intermediary communication and I'll let you know how it pans out.

Rgds, Mark (Harrisburg)
