Tiger Grill

I like the style of your grill Aladin. I guess that is the Harrington style based on the descriptions given. It looks like that's the one Andrew was working on. I sent him a PM - I'll see if he responds. Thanks.

It is a shame that Andrew hasn't been here in so long. I always appreciated his contributions* to the club and hope all is well with him. Since he hasn't been on the forum in while, you might have better luck trying to reach him via his website, which is linked in his signature. https://www.ramdesign.on.ca/contact.html

*I think of him almost every time I get in my SV, since I have a steering wheel center piece that he designed and built many years ago. My steering wheel is in the lower middle of the collage that Richard Fritz put together after the most recent Invasion. https://forum.sunbeamalpine.org/ind...-of-irreproducible-results.33703/#post-250453

Hey Aladin, I really like your grille, smooth edge without trim, and no turn signals. I think the shape and positioning of the lower horizontal bar really works with what you have done.

I think it would really be great if you had the hoodless light rims (painted to match), or the round chrome rims like the period race cars. Have you tried swapping to those? The peaks of the light rims seem to contrast with the roundness of the grille you have and the flow of the eyebrow without trim.

I also couldn't tell from your various posts. Is your grille one of the repops that were available for purchase? Or is it custom?

BTW to everyone, it technically is "grille" not grill.

But that's just me. I also like the earlier grille and badge on the hood - and did that to my S3.

Hmm, now that I'm looking at pictures, I didn't realize the Harrington lower grille fin curved out like that. I never actually did like it on the Tiger - but that appears to be straight/flat. I'm liking the Harrington version better - though still liking Aladin's customization, and thinking his would look even better without the peaks.

My grill is one of the reproductions made a while back. I bought mine from a club member some years ago. I understand your concept about the smoothness of the non-peaked rings, but I have never liked them compared to the peaked rings.
