Switch repair

I have some new Lucas switches that, horror of horrors, are faulty. Makes me appreciate the bravery of the WWII chaps going up in airplanes with such switches. Anyway, their function is hap-hazard, depending upon side pressure to complete the selected circuit. Is there any repair?

I opened my heater switch by lightly bending the side tabs.

Found a spider web inside that was keeping it from making good conduct with the contact bar. If you're careful and have good eyse, small tools, and some 1000 grit paper, you can probably repair them.

Mine worked out just fine.

Like Rich, I also repaired a couple by cafefully bending the tabs and opening it up. Watch out for the tiny bits inside but you can clean the contacts.
