Interesting. At least twice in this video the Alpine is referred to as 260 or V8. Was there ever a V8 Alpine?

Yes , for Europe the name "Tiger" couldn't be applied since it was authorized to a different car maker. So Rootes had to call their product "Alpine 260" over here...
