I know ... my "doo-doo" list seems to have grown exponentially since the wife has been off work nursing a broken hip. I bought a 3/8"-4'x 6' sheet of 6061 years ago (40 or so) from a place called MAC Metals for $ 60.00! They bought leftovers from Lockheed when it was in Burbank .. still have a small slab left .. I'd hate to know what it would cost today! ... I have family/friends in other parts of the U.S. paying $3.00 plus for gas and are complaining ? ... it just dropped to 4.97 for reg./ 5.29 for prem. here .. almost misused the term "ethyl" .. man I'm old!Hey David!
Working on it in between the honey do list. Just finished an Aluminum deck with steel framing for my studio in the backyard. I can not believe the price of metal and Aluminum lately, seems to be going up as fast as Gas prices.

Tell me about it, I got two 4X8' sheets of 3/16 diamond plate for nearly $800 each plus a 2X4' piece for another $200!I know ... my "doo-doo" list seems to have grown exponentially since the wife has been off work nursing a broken hip. Yep ....
And it's always that ONE part that completes everything else you got, otherwise it all has to come out. I feel that pain...Sometimes you come across a part that can not be found anywhere, so you resort to making one yourself. Since there are no lower pulley pinning kits for my engine, I will break out the lathe and make my own. The only things I had to purchase is a drill and pin set and I will have to buy a bolt with a small enough shoulder to get the drill past it. As far as removing the bolt on the engine now without pulling the transmission to lock the engine, I found a pulley holder that can be used to loosen and tighten the bolt for pulley removal and installation.
