Stromberg CD150 Carburetor Springs

Does anyone know where to find replacement springs for the Stromberg Carburetors? Mine are worn and not fully returning to their start position.

I have a '67 Series V that I resealed the carbs last year because the front was leaking a bit of fuel. Everything is back together without leaks now and adjusted. I noticed that everything is fine at startup and after driving a bit the idle starts running hi at a stop. Upon checking the carbs I find tension on the springs and a little push from my thumb returns the shaft to the start position. The only thing I've been able to come up with is that the springs are worn/relaxed and need to be replaced, but I can't seem to find them anywhere.

Does anyone know where to find replacement springs or had this problem before and know if something else is causing it?

Which springs are you referring to? .. the return spring on the linkage or the internal diaphragm spring.

Mike could be onto something. Did you center the jet properly when you reassembled the carbs?

Are you sure the shafts are moving freely and not binding up a bit?
That's a good thought. I don't think they are because I had free movement during the adjustment and through the full range. It's just the last bit of movement to close that it stops short.

This is worth another check. Thanks for the idea!

Also double check the choke plate has a gap when the choke is fully pushed in. The gap spec is in the WSM.

The parts manual shows 4 springs on the shaft (2 #9's and #20 & # 21) and 1 (#13) inside the cabin on the gas pedal linkage.
