Stock Spare Hold Down Bolt Length

Would someone please measure the length of the stock Mark I and Ia spare hold down bolt. I have a short one that will not fit my Alpine. Maybe it is from a Tiger?
Thanks.

Hi Tom:

There are two lengths of spare tire hold down bolts for an Alpine or Tiger depending on whether you have steel or wire wheels. The longer bolt is for wires and the shorter one for steel wheels. Do you have an early Series Alpine?

Tom iirc the Tiger one is shorter than the either of the alpine ones. As rick said there were 2 lengths of alpine wires and steels...but the tiger having the mount off the boot floor had a different length again. I know the alpine wire wheel bolt is very useful for securing a after market alloy wheel in the tiger

I have both in a box at home . The Tiger one goes with a car I have for sale but be happy to picture them for you when I'm back.

Thank you Warren for your reply. A picture would be great. Would you include a ruler in the picture? When I figure this out. I'll post a picture of the different ones.

Are you asking about the length of the bolt or the thread size? If you are referring to thread size, there are no metric fasteners on an Alpine or Tiger.

Here is everything :))) to know about these bolts. The thread is 1/2 inch x 13 threads per inch National coarse. The are three different spare bolt part numbers listed in the parts book. The longest (5-1/2 inch) is for wire wheels. The two for stock steel wheels are 4 in. and 3-1/2 inch. Does anyone know which bolt length is stock for before B395009817?
